The Diocese of Portsmouth Discovery Student Gap Year is an opportunity for young people aged 18-24 years to spend a whole year in a local parish and other placements, experiencing lots of different ministry opportunities.

This Gap Year is unique because it encompasses the breadth of ministry in the Church of England, allowing participants to embrace the diversity of the church and seeks to serve and model real faith in the midst of all traditions.

In brief:

  • A student year out for all young people aged 18-24
  • An opportunity for to discern God’s call
  • An opportunity for parishes to grow!

Sounds good… doesn’t it? Is this for me? Maybe not… but why not tell someone who you might be interested. Who knows what might happen!
