Leading Collective Worship in Schools

The potential for relationship between church and schools is enormous, but do you feel under-equipped to go into your local school and ‘do assemblies’? Would you like to learn more about how to build links with your local school?

Andy’s been working with the team at Christ Church Winchester and others, and together they’ve planned some training to address this.

The day is aimed at clergy and parish workers who regularly go into schools, or would like to, and will include discussions on vision and strategy, engagement in school communities, the National Curriculum, followed by the opportunity to join various workshops and practise together, with opportunities for questions and sharing expertise.

When? Tuesday 26 November 2013
                 10.00 – 2.30
Where? Christ Church, Christchurch Road, Winchester,
                  SO23 9SR

New Bible-based assemblies resource

A new website has just been launched that will be welcomed by any hard pressed schools worker looking for ideas for collective worship.

Bible-based assemblies are exactly what they say. They are assembly ideas for collective worship, based on Biblical characters and/or truths found in the Bible.

All assemblies have been developed and used by experienced schools workers and have been previously published by Scripture Union.
