We want to be better at communicating with the whole diocese through every platform you engage with. We want to be better at supporting you and your ministry and let you all know about the great things going on across the diocese.
So from January 2018 we will be active and available through the following:
School of Mission (SOM) Newsletters which will come out every month (on the 3rd Friday of the month) and have loads of information about what we are up to and how we can support you and what you’re doing. We would also love to share testimonies of what is going on around the diocese, so if you have any stories you want to share then please let us know by sending them to email@example.com.
Because we are trendy we will also be active daily over the following social media platforms:
School of Mission Facebook | SOM Twitter | SOM Instagram | SOM Vimeo | SOM Blog
The current YCF brand will be disappearing after Christmas but all relevant news on Children, Families and Young people’s ministry will still be sent via our SOM platforms.
This year we are excited to announce new Lent Resources for both Adults, Inter-Generational Church and Young People. These resources are available free from:
Think you know someone God might be calling to be a vicar?
Think God is prompting you to speak to them about leading his church?
Think they are too young?
If they are 16-30 invite them to come and explore a calling to ordination at a Young Vocations Day Conference on 1st October, at Church of the Ascension in Southampton and find some answers! Encourage them to listen to +Tim and Donna Lazenby, ask questions of young people already in ministry and training, find out how to take the next step and hear from God.
To book a place email firstname.lastname@example.org
Date: 1 October 2016
Time: 10-4, with lunch provided
Where: Church of the Ascension, Bittern Park, Southampton. SO18 1HZ.
Young Women: Your Call is a national day conference being run on Saturday 23rd April at Coventry Cathedral and hosted by the Diocese of Coventry. It aims to be a creative day of teaching, listening, exploring, praying and working out more of a sense of God’s call on our lives. It is aimed at women aged roughly 16-35 and is suitable for women at all stages of discernment – be that the first dip of a toe in the water, or further along the more formal vocations channels.
We would love to welcome young women from across the country – it is free to register and attend the day which includes lunch and refreshments and hopefully lots to take away.
Participants can register directly by using this link http://ow.ly/WHFmm or look out in the coming weeks for a facebook page and twitter handle #YWYourCall.
If you want to know more visit www.dioceseofcoventry.org/ywyc
Next Tuesday we’ve got the next meeting of our Young Vocations group, here at Wolvesey from 6pm.
The group is for young people who are interested in exploring a vocation to ordained ministry and want to chat to others in the same situation as well as younger people who are already ordained.
Oh, and there’s pizza…
If you’d like to come please reply to this post or email email@example.com
