Facing conflict can be extremely difficult in our culture. Technology allows us to approach issues from afar, deciding when and how involved we want to be. If I don’t like a situation I can simply choose not to respond. More and more communication is via email, text, and social media that there’s a danger in losing the gift of communication like Jesus modelled – in person.
‘Peacemakers’ is a new course specifically tailored for 18-30 year olds to equip and empower in how to face conflict in today’s culture. Led by Acorn Trainers, Jennie Fytche and Rob Shipman, those participating will explore what happens in times of conflict, and be taught how to find appropriate and Biblical mechanisms of handling ‘difference’ before it becomes destructive.
We are excited to be offering 40 free spaces to participants between 18-30yrs!
24th September 2016 at Whitehill Chase, Bordon. 10am – 4pm.
Sarah Long, Diocesan Youth Adviser, will be attending – so do let her know if you’ll be going too!
