Free Peer Mentoring Training for Young Volunteers – Bournemouth

Free Peer Mentoring Training for Young Volunteers, aged between 13 – 21 years living in or volunteering in Bournemouth!

This training, delivered by YMCA Bournemouth is designed to prepare young people to become confident, effective peer mentors. The training will cover:

 
– What is a peer mentor and what makes a good one? – What are the do’s and don’t’s of peer mentoring and when is a secret not a secret? – How can you motivate your buddy and help them set goals?

This is a great training course for young volunteers, who currently volunteer at a youth club, provide peer support at their school or volunteer in a role where there are other young people that they can provide support and encouragement to.

 
When and Where:
This training course will be delivered over 2 evenings & attendance at both sessions is essential.

 
Part 1:
22nd February 2016: 6.30pm – 9.30pm (arrival from 6.15pm)
(Fusion Youth Club – Bournemouth Town Centre)
Part 2:
29th February 2016: 6.30pm – 9.30pm (arrival from 6.15pm)
(Fusion Youth Club – Bournemouth Town Centre)

 
After attending both sessions, you will receive an AQA Unit Award in Peer Mentoring which will look great in your Record of Achievement and on your CV!
