On behalf of the Archbishops’ Council Projects and Development team, Church House Publishing and Portsmouth Cathedral, we are delighted to invite you to a very special event for the national launch of GraveTalk, written by Belinda Davies and published by Church House Publishing.
This new resource helps young people to engage with death, dying and funerals. It will take place on Tuesday 19th May between 2 and 8pm in Portsmouth Cathedral and youth leaders and young people are more than welcome to go along if you can. The event is a drop in so you can pop along for an hour so and see how this awesome resource is getting people talking about death, dying and funerals.
You might be thinking why on earth is this relevant to me???? Well, nationally, our culture is changing. People are beginning to think ahead about funerals and about dying, to ask questions and to explore options. This includes young people! GraveTalk is a way of helping people to have conversations about death, dying and funerals in the context of a simple café space… it’s as if youth work and its love of café style is having an impact!
The event is taking place during National Dying Awareness week (18th – 25th May), so the organisers are expecting a high level of interest in GraveTalk. Go along any time on the day, and allow about an hour for your visit.
