Mission Worship Conference – Eastbourne

Kingsway Trust, which runs the Children’s and Family Ministry Conference, also runs an annual Mission Worship Conference in Eastbourne. This year’s dates are 16-18 November and artists include Stuart Townend, Matt Redman and many more.

The Mission Worship team have just also launched a new online shop:
http://theworshipshop.com/ which is supporting Ray of Hope, Amazon, the project that they also support through the offering at the conference.

Hand in Hand Children’s Conference 2013

Bookings are now open for the 2013 Children’s and Family Ministry Hand-in-Hand Conference in Eastbourne, to be held from 1st – 3rd February.

There will be the usual mix of plenary sessions, seminars and workshops covering a wide variety of topics relevant to those of you involved in children’s or family ministry, whether as new volunteers or ‘old hands’, plus times for Bible study and worship and a large exhibition with shop. Over 40 organisations are already booked into the exhibition with more to come.

Safeguarding training

Jane and Siona in the Safeguarding team at the Diocese have put some more dates in the diary for training courses, all to be held here at Old Alresford Place. Topics are as follows:

  • Introduction to Safeguarding Officer
  • General Child Protection
  • Vulnerable Adults Day
  • Domestic Abuse Day

All age worship and Messy Church

This day is an opportunity for anyone involved in All Age Worship, whether on a Sunday or midweek, to reflect upon the principles and practice which lie behind all age worship as well as sharpen their skills.  During the day, we shall be
• exploring the purpose and vision behind all age worship and all age learning
• unpacking some of the theory and theology behind worshipping together
• experiencing Messy Church as one example of all age worship.

Andy and Pete will be leading the day, but as it’s part of the CMD programme in the diocese, please book through Ian Knight instead of through Lesley.

When? Saturday 10 November 2012, 9.45am to 4.00pm

Cost? £10, to includ refreshments and lunch

Messy Meet-ups

Here’s something which we haven’t done yet:

Messy Meet-ups!They’re an opportunity for anyone already involved in leading a Messy Church to get together for some great coffee, delicious cakes and a chance to chat, share best practice & new ideas and solve problems!

Pete’s given us some dates and I’m in the process of finding venues:

  • Tuesday 25 September at Christ Church, Chineham, 7.30-9.30;
  • Monday 22 October at Highfield Church, Southampton 7.30-9.30;
  • Tuesday 6 November in Bournemouth (venue t.b.c.) 7.30-9.30
